Official API only
Postoni uses Meta's Instagram messaging API and webhooks. No passwords, no browser bots.
Respects the 24-hour window
Messages are only sent while Instagram allows it. Follow-ups that would land outside the window are stopped.
Paced sending
Sending is rate-limited per account to stay well inside Meta's limits, even when a Reel takes off.
One DM per comment
Duplicate webhooks and repeat comments never send a second copy, and you can limit an automation to once per person.

Instagram Auto-DM FAQ
Is Auto-DM included in my plan?
Yes. Auto-DM is included in every Postoni plan and in the free trial. There's no per-contact or per-message fee.
Which Instagram accounts work?
Business and Creator accounts. You can connect through Instagram login or through the Facebook Page the account is linked to. Personal accounts can't use Instagram's messaging API.
Is it allowed by Instagram?
Yes. Postoni uses Meta's official Instagram messaging API and webhooks, the same way approved chat tools do. Automations only message people who interacted with you first, and only within Instagram's messaging window.
Can I reply to people myself?
Yes. Every conversation appears in the Postoni inbox. When you reply, automations pause for that person for 24 hours so you don't talk over each other.
What happens if someone replies STOP?
They're marked as unsubscribed and no automation messages them again. They can reply START to opt back in.
Does it work with Facebook Messenger?
Not yet. Instagram comes first, and Facebook Messenger is next on the roadmap.
