Built around how Hashnode actually works

  • Pick your publication

Choose which Hashnode blog the post goes to, which helps if you run more than one.

  • Subtitles and cover images

Add a subtitle and cover image so the post looks finished in feeds and on your blog.

  • Original article URL

Set a canonical URL when the piece first ran elsewhere, and Hashnode credits the original source.

How to schedule a Hashnode post

Four steps, about two minutes the first time. After that it's write, tweak, schedule.

  1. 1

    Add your Hashnode token

Generate a personal access token in Hashnode's developer settings and paste it into Postoni.

  2. 2

    Write in Markdown

Draft or paste the post. Keep it under 10,000 characters.

  3. 3

    Choose publication and tags

Pick the publication, add at least one tag, and set a subtitle, cover image or canonical URL if you want them.

  4. 4

    Schedule it

Pick a time and Postoni publishes it. Add social posts to announce it.

Does Postoni publish automatically to Hashnode?

Yes. At the scheduled time the post is published to the publication you chose. If Hashnode rejects it, Postoni shows Hashnode's error message.

What is the Hashnode character limit in Postoni?

Postoni allows up to 10,000 characters per Hashnode post. For very long guides, consider splitting them into a series.

Why does Postoni ask for tags?

Hashnode requires at least one tag on every post. You pick them from Hashnode's own tag list in the settings panel.

Can I save a Hashnode draft instead of publishing?

Not through Postoni. Posts publish at the scheduled time. Keep the post as a draft in Postoni until it's ready.
