How to schedule a Discord post

Does Postoni publish automatically to Discord?

Yes. Once the app is in your server, scheduled messages post to the channel you picked at the exact time you set. You don't need to keep a browser or bot running.

What is the Discord character limit in Postoni?

Discord allows 2,000 characters per message. Postoni stops you at 1,980 so formatting and mentions don't push you over. Longer updates work best as a short post plus thread replies.

Can Postoni send direct messages or read replies?

No. Postoni posts to server text channels and threads it creates. It doesn't send DMs, moderate, or pull in member replies.

Can I change the name the bot posts under?

Yes. You can set a custom nickname for the Postoni bot in your server, so announcements show your brand name instead of a generic app name.
