Does Postoni publish automatically to Instagram?
Yes, for Business and Creator accounts. Feed posts, Reels, carousels and Stories are published directly through Instagram's API with no push notification step. Personal accounts can't be published to by any third-party tool.
What is the Instagram caption limit?
2,200 characters per caption. Only the first line or two show in the feed before 'more', so lead with the part that matters.
What can't Postoni do on Instagram?
Interactive Story stickers like polls, links and questions, product tags and location tags aren't available through Instagram's publishing API. Stories go out as a plain photo or video, so add stickers in the app if you need them.
Why does Instagram need a Facebook Page?
Meta's main publishing API works through a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Postoni also supports signing in with Instagram directly, which skips the Page but still needs a professional account.
