Built around how Dev.to actually works
Post under your organization
Pick a DEV organization you belong to and the article appears under its name as well as yours.
Real DEV tags
Choose from DEV's tag list in the settings panel, up to 4 per article, so the piece reaches the right readers.
Canonical URL for cross-posts
Set the canonical URL to your own blog so DEV points search engines to the original.
How to schedule a Dev.to post
Four steps, about two minutes the first time. After that it's write, tweak, schedule.

Add your DEV API key
Create an API key in your DEV settings under Extensions and paste it into Postoni.
- 2

Draft or paste the article. Code blocks and headings work as they do on DEV.
- 3
Add tags, cover and canonical
Pick up to 4 tags, upload a cover image, set the canonical URL, and choose an organization if needed.
- 4
Schedule and announce
Pick the publish time and add X or Bluesky posts that go out right after.
Dev.to scheduling FAQ
Does Postoni publish automatically to Dev.to?
Yes. At the scheduled time the article is published on DEV, not saved as a draft.
Is there a Dev.to character limit?
No hard limit. Long tutorials are fine. DEV does limit you to 4 tags per article.
Can I update an article after it's published?
Edits happen on DEV. Postoni creates and publishes the article, and DEV is where you fix typos or add updates.
Can I post to DEV and Hashnode without hurting SEO?
Yes. Set the canonical URL on each copy to your original post, so search engines know which version is the source.
