How to schedule a Discord Webhook post

    Create the webhook

    In Discord, open the channel's settings, go to Integrations, then Webhooks, and click New Webhook. Give it a name and an avatar if you like.

    Copy the URL into Postoni

    Click Copy Webhook URL, then in Postoni add the Discord Webhook channel and paste it.

    Write the message

    Keep it under 2,000 characters and attach images if you need them.

    Schedule it

    Pick a time. The message appears in the channel under the webhook's name.

Does Postoni publish automatically to Discord through a webhook?

Yes. At the scheduled time Postoni sends the message to the webhook URL and Discord posts it in that channel.

What's the difference from the Discord channel?

The Discord channel uses the Postoni bot and lets you pick any channel on the server each time. The webhook version needs no bot and no admin app setup, but each connection posts to one fixed channel.

What is the Discord character limit?

2,000 characters per message. Postoni's counter warns you before you go over.

What can't a webhook do?

Webhooks can only send messages. They can't read replies, react, create threads or post in channels other than their own.
