WWebhook scheduler

Publish scheduled posts to any webhook

Not every destination has a Postoni channel, and some workflows need more than a post. The Webhook channel sends each scheduled post as JSON to a URL you choose, so Zapier, Make, n8n or your own service can take it from there: a CMS, a CRM, an SMS tool, a spreadsheet.

Everything you can publish to Webhook

Pick the format in the composer. Postoni handles the upload and the timing.

  • JSON post payloads
  • Media URLs
  • Signed requests

Built around how Webhook actually works

  • Signed and verifiable

Add a secret and every request carries an X-Postoni-Signature header, sha256= followed by the HMAC-SHA256 of the body, so your endpoint can reject anything that didn't come from Postoni.

  • Works with no-code tools

Paste a Zapier Catch Hook, a Make custom webhook or an n8n Webhook node URL and build the rest of the flow there.

  • Same calendar, any destination

The post is scheduled, approved and tracked like any other channel, even if it ends up somewhere Postoni has never heard of.

How to schedule a Webhook post

Four steps, about two minutes the first time. After that it's write, tweak, schedule.

  1. 1

    Create a receiving URL

In Zapier, Make or n8n, start a flow with a webhook trigger and copy its URL, or use an HTTPS endpoint of your own.

  2. 2

    Connect in Postoni

Add the Webhook channel, paste the URL and, optionally, a signing secret.

  3. 3

    Write the post

Write it like any other post and attach media. Media is sent as public URLs.

  4. 4

    Schedule it

At the scheduled time Postoni sends the JSON, and your flow does the rest.

What does the request look like?

An HTTPS POST with a JSON body containing the post text, media URLs and post details. With a secret set, the X-Postoni-Signature header holds sha256= plus the hex HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body.

How do I verify the signature?

Compute HMAC-SHA256 of the raw request body with your secret, prefix it with sha256= and compare it to the header using a constant-time comparison.

What counts as a successful post?

Your endpoint should answer with a 2xx status. Any other response, or a timeout, marks the post as failed so you can retry it.

Is the secret required?

No, but it's strongly recommended for any endpoint that does something visible, so nobody can trigger it by guessing the URL.
