How to schedule a Misskey post

    Create an access token

    In Misskey, open Settings, then API, and choose Generate access token. Allow composing notes and writing to Drive.

    Connect in Postoni

    Enter your server address, such as https://misskey.io, and paste the token.

    Write the note

    Tailor the draft, attach images, and set visibility and a content warning if needed.

    Schedule it

    Pick a time and Postoni posts the note and any replies.

Does Postoni publish automatically to Misskey?

Yes. At the scheduled time Postoni uploads your images to your Drive and creates the note, followed by any replies.

Which permissions does the token need?

“Compose or delete notes” to post, and write access to Drive files so images can be uploaded. Nothing else is required.

Does it work with Misskey forks?

Usually, yes. Forks such as Sharkey and Firefish keep Misskey's API, so the same token flow works.

Can I add reactions or polls?

Not yet. Postoni creates notes with text, images, visibility and content warnings.
