Mattermost scheduler
Schedule Mattermost channel posts
Mattermost is the chat many engineering and security teams run themselves. Postoni posts to a Mattermost channel on your server, with follow-ups as replies in the same thread, so release notes and announcements go out on schedule.

Built around how Mattermost actually works
Your server, your rules
Works with self-hosted and Mattermost Cloud servers. Postoni talks to the server address you enter, nothing else.
Replies in the thread
Add follow-up parts in the composer and Postoni posts them as replies, keeping the channel tidy.
Markdown kept
Mattermost renders Markdown, so headings, lists, code blocks and links come through as written.
How to schedule a Mattermost post
Four steps, about two minutes the first time. After that it's write, tweak, schedule.
- 1
Create a personal access token
In Mattermost, open Profile, then Security, then Personal Access Tokens, and create a token. Copy the access token, not the token ID.
- 2
Copy the channel ID
Click the channel name, choose View Info, and copy the ID shown at the bottom.
- 3
Connect in Postoni
Enter your server address, the token and the channel ID.
- 4
Write and schedule
Draft the post, add replies if you like, and pick a time.

Does Postoni publish automatically to Mattermost?
Yes. At the scheduled time Postoni creates the post in the channel through the Mattermost API, then posts any replies in its thread.
I can't find Personal Access Tokens. Why?
They're off by default. A system admin can enable them under System Console, then Integrations, then Integration Management, and may need to allow your account to create them.
Can I post to several channels?
Yes. Add one connection per channel, reusing the same server address and token.
Pairs well with Mattermost
Most people post the same idea to a few networks. These are the ones that usually go with Mattermost.
