How to schedule a Microsoft Teams post

    Start a workflow

    In Teams, open the channel's ⋯ menu and choose Workflows.

  2. 2

    Pick the webhook template

    Select “Post to a channel when a webhook request is received”, confirm the team and channel, and finish the steps.

    Copy the URL into Postoni

    Copy the URL shown at the end, add the Microsoft Teams channel in Postoni and paste it.

    Write and schedule

    Draft the message, pick a time, and the workflow posts it to the channel.

Does Postoni publish automatically to Microsoft Teams?

Yes. At the scheduled time Postoni calls your workflow's URL and the workflow posts the message to the channel.

Why not an Incoming Webhook connector?

Microsoft is retiring Office 365 connectors, including Incoming Webhooks. Workflows is the replacement and keeps working.

Who appears as the sender?

Messages are posted by the Workflows app on behalf of the person who created the workflow. That's how Teams shows all workflow posts.

What can't Postoni do in Teams?

It can't send chats to individual people, read replies or post to channels other than the one the workflow is set up for.
