How to schedule a Pixelfed post

Four steps, about two minutes the first time. After that it's write, tweak, schedule.

    Create a token

    In Pixelfed, open Settings, then Applications, and create a personal access token with read and write scopes.

    Connect in Postoni

    Enter your server address, such as https://pixelfed.social, and paste the token.

  3. 3

    Add photos and a caption

    Attach at least one image and write the caption.

  4. 4

    Schedule it

    Pick a time and Postoni uploads the photos and publishes the post.

Does Postoni publish automatically to Pixelfed?

Yes. At the scheduled time Postoni uploads your photos and creates the post on your server.

Can I post text without a photo?

No. Pixelfed is photo-first and every post needs at least one image.

How many photos can an album have?

It depends on the server. Many allow 4, some up to 10. Postoni accepts up to 10 and your server rejects extras.

Can I post videos?

Postoni sends images to Pixelfed. Video support varies between servers, so stick to photos for reliable publishing.
