Connects through the API
Schedule social posts with n8n
n8n is great at moving data around, and Postoni is great at posting it. Point an HTTP Request node at the Postoni public API, or give an n8n AI agent the Postoni MCP server, and your workflows can fill your calendar. Keep posts as drafts if you want a person to check them first.

- Open-source core
Set it up in four steps
- 1
Create a Postoni API key
Sign up at postoni.com, connect your channels, and copy the API key from Settings.
- 2
Add a header credential
In n8n, create a Header Auth credential with the name Authorization and your Postoni API key as the value.
- 3
Call the public API
Add an HTTP Request node that calls https://postoni.com/api/public/v1 with that credential. List integrations first to get channel IDs, then create posts.
- 4
Or use the MCP client
For AI agent workflows, add an MCP Client Tool to your AI Agent node with the endpoint https://postoni.com/mcp and a bearer token set to your key.
curl https://postoni.com/api/public/v1/integrations \
-H "Authorization: YOUR_API_KEY"Drafts wait for your approval
Anything n8n creates lands as a draft on your Postoni calendar. Approve it, edit it, or bin it.
Prompts to try
Talk to it like a coworker who knows your calendar. A few to start with:
When a new item appears in our blog RSS feed, write a LinkedIn post about it and save it as a Postoni draft.
Every Monday at 8am, pick the top 3 rows from the content sheet and schedule them across X and Threads.
When a form submission tags a customer win, draft a celebration post for our LinkedIn Page.
n8n and Postoni FAQ
Is there a dedicated n8n node?
The open-source Postiz core has a community node, but the HTTP Request node works everywhere and needs no install. Postoni's API follows the same public API shape, so the docs apply to both.
Will n8n publish without review?
Only if you tell it to. You can create posts as drafts so they wait in your calendar for approval, or schedule them directly for trusted flows. Agent-created posts through MCP are drafts by default.
Can n8n react to published posts?
Yes. Add a webhook in Postoni Settings pointing at an n8n Webhook node, and n8n gets notified when posts go out. Use it to log posts or alert your team.
Does it work with self-hosted n8n?
Yes. Self-hosted and cloud n8n both work, since they only need to reach postoni.com over HTTPS.
