Connects through MCP

Schedule social posts with ChatGPT

Add Postoni to ChatGPT as a custom app and it can write, tailor and schedule posts for every channel you have connected. It works through MCP (a standard way for AI assistants to use apps). ChatGPT drafts, you approve, and Postoni posts on time.

  • Unlimited posts on every plan
  • Cancel anytime
  • Open-source core

Set it up in four steps

  1. 1

    Connect your channels

Sign up at postoni.com and connect the social accounts you want ChatGPT to use. The 7-day trial needs no card.

  2. 2

    Turn on Developer mode

In ChatGPT settings, switch on Developer mode. On Business or Enterprise workspaces an admin may need to allow custom connectors first.

  3. 3

    Create a Postoni app

Create a new MCP app or connector, name it Postoni, paste https://postoni.com/mcp as the server URL and keep OAuth as the authentication method.

  4. 4

    Sign in and start chatting

Log in to Postoni when ChatGPT asks, then pick Postoni in a chat. Ask for posts and they appear as drafts in your calendar.

Drafts wait for your approval

Anything ChatGPT creates lands as a draft on your Postoni calendar. Approve it, edit it, or bin it.

Prompts to try

Talk to it like a coworker who knows your calendar. A few to start with:

  • Write three LinkedIn posts from my notes below and space them out over the next two weeks at 8am.

  • Draft a Threads post and a Facebook Page post announcing our Friday webinar, and schedule them for Wednesday.

  • Show me everything scheduled for this month, then suggest a post for each empty weekday.

ChatGPT and Postoni FAQ

Which ChatGPT plans can add custom MCP apps?

Developer mode with custom MCP servers is available on Plus and Pro, and on Business, Enterprise and Edu where an admin allows it. OpenAI moves these menus around from time to time, so check their help center if a label looks different.

Will ChatGPT publish posts without asking me?

Not by default. Posts created through Postoni's MCP server land as drafts in your calendar, and nothing goes live until you or a teammate approves it. If you trust a workflow, you can allow auto-publish for it later.

Is my Postoni password shared with ChatGPT?

No. You sign in on Postoni's own page and approve access with OAuth. ChatGPT gets a token it can use for your workspace, and you can revoke it at any time.

Can ChatGPT use images in posts?

Yes, for networks that support media. Postoni handles the upload and checks each network's rules, like Instagram needing an image or video. You can also swap media in the composer before you approve.
